I'm a Coal Miner's Daughter, too. Happy belated Birthday to Loretta Lynn! Interesting tidbit about Merle Haggard. I hadn't heard that before now. Glen Campbell is one of my favorite oldie country artists, too. His voice was so smooth and his guitar playing equally so. How sad to read another musician died on his birthday, Troy Gentry. WOW! Well, you picked a few of my favorites. I'm not sure who came first but you can hear a little Willie Nelson phrasing in Merle's song. Glen Campbell was everyone's favorite artist in his day. He was a great vocalist and a member of the elite "wrecking crew" of studio session musicians that could play anything. Have a blessed week.

Our mom loves all of them, but especially Glen Campbell. He had a variety show when she was little and she would sit with her Grammy and watch it. She loves his music because of the music, but it's extra special because of the memory of her Grammy.
