Meows from Mudpie!
I think National No Housework Day is a holiday everyone will be happy to celebrate, don't you? Your day will be much better spent cuddling and playing with your kitties.
I'm a pretty clever girl and have actually found a way to prevent Mommy from doing the housework more than just this one day a year. I lay on top of the mop! She would never disturb me. (I have no cozy cat beds to sleep on, dontcha know.)
I also manage to frequently delay Mommy's vacuuming by getting in my Kat Kabin for a nap when she plans to pull it out. The noise scares me in the first place, so she knows if she turned it on while I was in a confined space I would totally freak!
How do you keep your humans from doing the housework?

MY cats didn't get the memo. They always make work for me yacking on things.
You've got the right idea there! Sometimes our mom tries to do housework, but we shed all day every day so she feels pretty defeated most of the time. We'll tell her it's okay cuz of NNHD!

Benny used to get in the way when I'd sweep the kitchen floor. I miss that.
Serena wouldn't blame any cat for not liking vacuum cleaners, but wants to know why Mudpie isn't chasing that mop! She loves watching me move any object around. She knows objects can take more rough play than human skin can. Any kind of sweeping or dusting is fun, fun, fun, if she catches me doing it.
oh Mudpie of course you don't have any beds (wink wink!!) Roary is one of those kitties that loves to jump on the bed while you're making it (Cody never did).....and he has to get into everything which delays the housework!

|Gosh! How did we miss this!?! We are once again catching up! We let Mom do house work. She is a bit obsessive, but she always puts our play ground back together when she cleans. We hope you are having a marvellously happy day!
What a great way to help your mom, Mudpie. It doesn't really affect the housework, but when mom lays clothes out on the bed I'm somehow drawn to them. And the other day after dad finished his day with some mowing he shed his grass clipping-covered jeans out on the front steps and, well, guess who just HAD to spread out on them?
Now THAT sounds like a great day to celebrate.
