It's been a couple years since we premiered our mewsic feature "Retro Country Rewind," a look back at favorite songs that hit #1 during that month from 30, 35, 40 plus years ago. This year we're delving into #1 hits from 1971, 1976, 1981, and so on. Let's take a look at October for this freebie week in the Mewsic Moves Me blog hop...
45 Years Ago - 1976, The Games That Daddies Play, Conway Twitty
45 Years Ago - 1976, You and Me, Tammy Wynette
40 Years Ago - 1981, Never Been So Loved, Charlie Pride
35 Years Ago - 1986, Always Have, Always Will, Janie Fricke
35 Years Ago - 1986, Both To Each Other, Eddie Rabbitt & Juice Newton
I thought for sure the knew the oldest songs in your set but they don't sound familiar. The only song in today's line-up that I do remember is "Both To Each Other" and I'm not 100% sure if I knew Eddie & Juice did this song until now. Great music to share on the 4M dance floor, my dear. Have a boogietastic week!
I was originally going to say Conway until I got to the duet with Juice Newton and Eddie Rabbit. That one started slowish but by mid song I knew that one was going to be my vote for favorite of your playlist. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

Great classic playlist. Don't get to hear Janie Fricke or Juice Newton very often. Have a blessed week.
I can't believe I have never heard of any of these songs, At least I know most of the artists. :)
Great job, Mudpie. I love your playlist.
