The challenge of this week's Mewsic Moves Me blog hop is to build a playlist from the '50s, '60s, or '70s.
Let's take a trip back in time to revisit some classic country music from the 1970's, the decade I was born...
We hope you enjoyed our choices this week!

There was some great country sounds in the seventies. I think Dolly Parton really came of age during the decade. Ray price was one of the patriarchs of the genre while Mac Davis and Charlie Rich were introducing a new sound to country fans. Great playlist here.
Melissa & Mudpie,
The 70s were awesome. I turned 11 the year "Baby Don't Get Hooke On Me" released but I think my memories to this song are a few years later after I hit my teens. Dolly's song released the year DH graduated high school. Although, I couldn't remember that until I did a quick search. I do remember the song, though. This is one of Dolly's less country sounding tunes. It's always great fun hearing your more country artists in your line up and while I'm not an old school country gal, I sure do appreciate the talent of these singers. Thanks for sharing and for hitting the dance floor this week. Have a boogietastic day, my dear!
You both picked some great country music. Wow.
Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to Mudpie and my best to mom. ♥

A few good ones here!
Those were good tunes sweet Mudpie, you picked winners!
I turned 20 in '73, but followed the Folk music genre mostly. Of course I am familiar with some of these like Mac Davis and Dolly who is still quite a force -- maybe more than ever, actually.
Love the tiny kitty bopping to the beat.
I'm a 60s kid, and always listened to whatever was on--it was kind of fun in the 60s when AM stations played all sorts of music on one station so you could hear a little bit of everything. I always loved "Country Bumpkin," just a sweet little country song.
Great songs that last furrever, Mudpie😸Our favourite is Conway's song this week, besides your beautiful self of course. Like that picture with you and the jukebox😺Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead to the both of you🐾😽💞
