(Hopefully) Healing #SundaySelfie

Meows from Mudpie!

I haven't been feeling great the past few days. On Tuesday night I was sitting in the living room and out of nowhere let out a loud gag. (I wasn't even eating anything.) This continued a few times on Wednesday, and by Thursday and Friday I was also coughing, gulping, making lots of noises in my throat, and generally not acting like my typical happy self.

Oh, and my beautiful tortie voice disappeared too! When I meowed either nothing came out or it was really raspy!

This picture was taken Friday afternoon. You can see in my eyes I wasn't feeling well.

I got super clingy with Mommy (even more so than usual). She was glad she's working from home now so she could keep a close eye on me, and warned if I wasn't back to normal by Monday she would be calling the V-E-T.

I don't know if it was an asthma flare up, allergies ('tis the season), or maybe a URI, but as we type this on Saturday I seem to be feeling and acting much more like myself, minus all the strange sound effects that have been coming out of me.

Paws crossed that's all behind me now. It's no fun feeling crummy!

We're joining our friends at The Cat On My Head for the Sunday Selfies blog hop!

  1. Paws crossed you are feeling better, Mudpie! My human says that allergies are worse this year in our area for some reason (she usually doesn't have issues, but has this sprint). So maybe it's the same for you.

  16. Serena would empathize. She's handling the change of March weather well, but her gorgeous calico kitten was looking a bit peaked this morning.

  18. As soon as I have the first gagging, TW gets out the inhaler and the pred. It usually doesn't happen again for awhile. Sending healing purrz for you, MP. I know what it's like.
