The theme of this week's Mewsic Moves Me blog hop is "build a playlist of songs from your 34th birthday". I turned 34 in 2011, and not being a fan of today's country music I didn't have my hopes up that I would find many songs I would be excited to share. After checking out the music charts from 2011 I was surprised by how many I remember really loving from that year!
Have to start with this one because Conway & Loretta are mentioned!!!
Conway is shown on the big screen in the background a couple times!
Love, love, love this song...
This one makes me cry every single time I hear it...
I adore Toby - have been so fortunate to see him in concert 4 times - and was heartbroken to hear he's had to cancel his 2022 tour while undergoing treatment for stomach cancer.
A couple more goodies...
We hope you enjoyed our choices this week!
Let us know if you have a favorite...

A very nice playlist here.
M&M,
I know what you mean about not being a big fan of music beyond the 80s but I'm discovering tunes across the decades I truly enjoy. One of my favorites in your set is Blake Shelton "Honey Bee". That's such a cute and fun song. :) Thanks for hitting the 4M dance floor this week, furriends. Have a boogietastic week!
Nice playlist. My musical tastes tend to focus on earlier decades, too.
You did a bang up job on this weeks theme. Well done.
Have a purrfect day and week, Mudpie. My best to your mom. ♥
Nice choices. I love Blake and Brad.
Great set!
Those were all good tunes, I did have to step over Blake's huge ego on the way to the good tunes though.
So glad you posted these.."If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away" got me crying, too, but the others made me happy and I'm finding these are the perfect start to the week! - Housekeeper Julie xx
Tom says as long as he can snooze to it, any song is a hit song for him!!
Well Happy Very Belated 34th Birthday. It's a wonderful way to recall your past -- through MEWSic!
I usually like the older music better too, in any genre.
I'm not a huge 90's fan myself but I have surprised myself with some of the posts on this topic. My favorite was George Strait. So upbeat! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
