Right outside my bedroom and bathroom window is our bird/squirrel feeder. My grandpa build it at least 35 years ago and it's on its last legs. Several times this summer Mommy had to nail it back onto the pole it was sitting on, until one day the pole itself came crashing down!
Until she can find a way to fix the pole and see if grandpa can build another box, she propped the box up on a decorative urn in our yard. Our backyard visitors haven't seemed to mind the change, but one morning Mommy looked out the window to see that somehow the squirrels had managed to knock the box off the urn and onto its side, but kept right on eating!
She grabbed her camera and took some pretty bad pictures through the screen window. We are cracking UP at the squirrel's little butt sticking up out of the box while he pokes around for a snack! (Our squirrels love animal crackers.)
Those are our bloopers...let's see yours!

TBT: I can help with that. Black iron pipe has lots of attachments. What you want to do is dig a narrow hole about 18" deep and set a 1/2 pipe int it upright and settler the soil around it with water and stomping and let it dry a week. Then build or buy a new bird-feeder and attach a "flange" that fits the pipe to the bottom of the feeder. Then you just screw the flange to the pipe.
Your D-I-Y store will know what you are asking for.
Squirrels can climb the poles. So you want a baffle. You can some her at https://www.birdsandblooms.com/stuff-we-love/birding-stuff/squirrel-baffles/
but other places too.
I use both a flat one above a barrel one. No squirrel has beat the combination yet.
Those are funny photos. It looks like the squirrel appreciated the food being at ground level.
Mudpie, those are great photos through the screen window. Those crazy squirrels will just do anything to get a seed or a peanut. And they don't mind showing off a bit do they?
Those are very feisty little devils...but oh, so cute. Not blooping at all, in my book!
Those squirrels never cooperate for photos!
Those pesky squirrels get into our feeder all the time. They just finished eating most of the mangoes on our tree too.
Those are pawsome pics of the squirrel! They move so fast that
they can be hard to photograph ;)
