Meows from Mudpie!
Mommy helped me snap this selfie yesterday morning just before she left to bring grandpa home from the hospital. I was all bright eyed and bushy tailed with excitement.
This second selfie was taken HOURS later (it was nearly dark out) when they finally made it back home. Mommy helped him take his coat off and just dropped it on the floor. I immediately found it and plopped down on it for a couple hours. Mommy doesn't know if a) I figure if I hold down the coat he can't put it back on and leave us again or b) I'm investigating what the hospital smells like because he obviously would rather hang out there than here at home with us!!! There's no other way to explain why he keeps going back over and over and over again...

Hospital smells are awful for kitty noses and ought to be exchanged for the smell of HOME.

Mudpie, you just hang on to that coat and don't let him go out the door again this winter. Lime Jello at the hospital can be nothing like the food your mommy cooks.
I'd definitely be sitting on your grandpa rather than his coat so he doesn't get the urge to go back to that hospital place. I'm sure your mom's care and good food will see him right.

Our huMom says that, based on her own experience, Grampa is probably not in a big hurry to go back to the hospital. Putting the Mudpie smell on it will help remind him of home.
