Meows from Mudpie!
Grandpa loves soup, but canned soup is way too salty for him, so Mommy has been spending lots of time in the kitchen lately experimenting with different soup recipes.
I always hang out in the kitchen with her and watch. She loves having me nearby, so don't tell her I'm just staying close to the door just in case we need to evacuate!
Mudpie you look so dead–serious about focussing on a low–sodium soup.
ReplyDeleteSweet eyes!
Hugs,
Mariette
I agree with your Mom about making your own soup. It's so much tastier and healthier. It's funny because soup is what I am craving these days.
ReplyDeleteI must say your expression looks somewhat unhappy, but it is totally understandable given current circumstances. We hope evacuation will not be neccessary, so you can relax.
Mudpie, homemade soups are absolutely the best food. There are just so many kinds that we can make and make them to taste the way we like instead of the way Campbell's Soup likes. You keep helping though and make sure that Mom doesn't accidentally add too much salt when she's stirring.
ReplyDeleteQuick exits from kitchens around here come from either of two options. The first is Mrs H getting stressed cooking, and the second is me pinching something I ought not (as though I would dream of it, MOL).
ReplyDeleteA lovely selfie to match some lovely soup 🙂

I bet you're the best sous chef your mom could have, Mudpie!

ReplyDeleteWe love homemade soup, too, Mudpie! You are a very good watcher. :)
ReplyDeleteWe know she appreciates your help!
ReplyDeleteNice selfie. You are too funny. :) XO
ReplyDeleteTBT always buys low sodium soups (when he doesnt make his own). He says "You can always add some but you can't take it out".
ReplyDeleteGreat selfie!
Mudpie I am in agreement with your Grandpa, most things like soup and stock have too much salt.
ReplyDeleteI boil our chicken bones (after we had roast chicken on Sunday) to make a better stock (much less salt) or if I can get them, fish heads. The stock for soup is so much better and if you make a big pot that is the basis for at least a couple of soups (as you know).
My mom loves to make homemade soups. She doesn't care if the weather is summer-like or winter-like. Soup is good any time of the year.
ReplyDeleteLovely selfie, Mudpie! My mum says soups are very salty too. It's best to make your own.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you're telling your mom the best soup receipe, sweet Mudpie😺😸Enjoy the cooking! Double Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead to you and your mommy too🐾😽💞
