This afternoon before Mommy visits Grandpa at rehab she'll be stopping at Dunkin' Donuts for her freebie just as she's always done on National Donut Day.
Mommy's favorite memory of this day came 10 years ago when Angel Truffles was quite perturbed to sneak a peek inside the bag to find that not even a taste of custard had been left for her from the Boston cream donut.
Her look said it all...Shame on you, Mommy.

Yes, a beautiful flashback with Angel Truffles indeed. My mom doesn't allow donuts into our home. Says they're evil. Dad, on the other hand, would hide them anywhere he could if he knew he'd get away with it.
Mudpie, yes you could be missing out on something tasty. But at the same time I bet for you, they cat treats are the best.

Truffles are tastier than donuts, anyway. Perhaps your dear angel could have given herself a tongue-bath instead. I'm sure she is enjoying her home on the Bridge.
Donut Day is fun to celebrate, they need to make a donut for cats. I think Angel Truffles would have liked that and so would you.
