Meows from Mudpie!
On Wednesday, the one year anniversary of catastrophic flooding in our little state of Vermont, the remnants of Hurricane Beryl blew through and devastated many of the same areas that are still recovering from last year. At our house we got 2.5" of rain, but other areas not that far away got between 4-7" so we consider ourselves very lucky.
And now our weekly answers (all answered by Mommy this week) for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and Four-Legged Furballs!
1. It would be nice to be cold for a day. I am SO sick of the heat and humidity and it's only mid-July.
2. The older I get, the more I appreciate boredom. People say their life is boring when nothing exciting is going on. I've found that not all excitement is good excitement and I would much rather be bored with nothing going on.
3. I like to decorate my house with cat decor, Halloween and Christmas decorations.
4. You'll often find peanut butter on my kitchen counter. I use it so often I don't even bother putting it away.
I saw the news about your flooding last night. We got the incredibly destructive wind but little rain. It's good you are drier. Mudpie looks lovely with the rain coming down in front of her, lol. Peanut butter, I am no longer near young, but I love my peanut butter almost every day.
ReplyDeleteDearest Melissa,
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so devastating and Mudpie with those raindrops makes a purrfect artwork for that!
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties
We are so glad to hear you are all OK. At least the rain should cool down the smothering heat. Which brings me to ask is your art depicting rain or PURRSpiration? (just kitting) Whichever it is, it's a stunning piece of art with you as its focus!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful art. Sorry you got so much rain, but glad you are safe. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers, especially #3. I am sure I would love your decor. And I am with you on wanting to be cold. XO
ReplyDeleteLovely artwork but so sorry about the rain and heat. Hopefully it'll cool down for you now.
ReplyDeleteI'm so very sorry about the flooding, there's an example of some excitement you'd rather do without. A little boredom is much better.
ReplyDeleteMudpie and Mom Melissa, we're sorry to hear about you area having more flooding. We are glad you two are okay, though. XO
ReplyDeleteWe are so sorry you have such destructive weather conditions. But We are glad you are okay.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a lovely picture of you, Mudpie - but you look so sad, sweetheart. Can We do anything to cheer you up?
The art came out beautifully. All the flooding across the U.S. is so sad. Mom agrees 100% on your #1 and #2. Dad is the HUGE P.B. fan ay our house. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta & Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
