Dearest Melissa, Oh, how many families have been hurt by this! Both, Pieter and I went in 2015 to New York to visit the monument, very sobering and impressive. Indeed, how did we ever get over this—until something similar is about to happen... Hugs, Mariette + Kitties
A day that can never be forgotten. Our Dad was in NYC on business that day and was totally unreachable for hours on end. Great relief once Mom heard from him followed by another three days of trying to get out of the city. We bow our heads out of respect for all who suffered loss that day.
How well I remember that day. It is remarkable how we have managed to recover from such an invasion.
