Anybody Home?

Meows from Mudpie!

Mommy snapped this picture of our feral boy Mo over the weekend. She's been feeding him for over 10 years now (she's actually known him longer than she's known me!) and he's just started looking in the door for her.

Mommy loves him so, so much, and worries herself sick over him, especially in the winter now that he's older. Her greatest wish is that one day he'll feel safe and decide to move in with us.

She hasn't asked my opinion on this topic, but I guess we'll cross that bridge if (and when) we come to it.

  1. Mudpie maybe your mommy has a warm place for him to sleep this winter? Large box with straw in it maybe. Tell your mommy we're still waiting on our Fancy Feast dishes and they sent an email that they were having a slow down for some reason. Figure they're probably still in china. Ordered our lovely new ornament too.

  2. Dearest Melissa,
Oh, my such a longing face from Mo.
If only kitties could talk, there would be many stories of abandonment.
Hoping he will come inside with you!

  3. He is so pretty! I, as do the rest of us here, hope he has a warm home to spend time in...including out doors, made for him specifically. xoxo

  4. Did you make a warm place for him to sleep outside? That's what we did for Lil' Bit until we got her inside. Did the same for Squeaker. We were just as worried as you are.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to Mudpie. ♥

  6. Mudpie, tell your meowmy that I've lived this for a long time too, which is why we trapped Henry before the cold winds blew. He's still very feral, yet each day there is a bit of progress. Mo is lucky to have her to care for him.

  7. Well, he is willing to look in so maybe he will be willing to step in. We sure worry about our ferals with freezing temps.
