Meows from Mudpie!
Mommy said I should update our friends on my tushie trouble. Unfortunately, there isn't much to report. My anal glands are still impacted and I might require surgery to remove the impacted material, which is the last thing we want. Mommy has been in close contact with our vet all week, and she said as long as I'm not experiencing any pain we can wait and see how things progress. The vet is hoping I won't need surgery too.
The worst part of this whole ordeal is the atrocious antibiotic Mommy is shoving down my throat twice a day. I never thought Mommy would turn into a monster! She wraps me up in a kitty straight jacket bath towel, opens my mouth and squirts the foul liquid inside. At least I get a squeezie afterwards, which Mommy is lacing with fiber powder in hopes that might make things start moving along naturally.
But really, I'm feeling fine. I'm eating and drinking good, pottying normal, being my normal lovebug self when Mommy isn't torturing me giving me my medicine
It's a good thing we're past Tocktober though, because my tushie is in no condition to be seen!

1. Watching more Christmas movies and specials, last minute shopping, and baking are on my to-do list this month.

Mudpie we certainly have been wondering how you're feeling. And so very sorry to hear that this is not been resolved naturally yet. I am sure that your mommy is probably pulling her own hair out worrying about you. You're a good girl to take your medicine and we're hoping that it all magically works very very soon.
Oh, dear girl, we're so sorry you're having those butt issues. I'm sure it's no fun, and I know your mommy is worried to shreds about you. Me and dad hope things, umm, work themselves out on their own soon, and we sure hope surgery isn't in your schedule.
Mudpie, I hope things improve for you soon. The Lady remembers when Ernie had to have his glands cleaned out. It wasn't too bad but still no fun.

It's the being patient that is the tough part isn't it? Mum is worrying and you are wriggling so let's hope it resolves itself!!!

Oh no. Too bad kitties can't use a sitz bath to unclog those pesky glands. Molly sympathizes with the daily gagging. She just completed a round of antibiotics for a UTI, but luckily it was a tasteless, small pill once daily. Only 3 days mom did a poor job of getting the pill down smoothly. And Molly got licky treats after the pill too. That stuff is wonderful to help the medicine go down.
Dang, we pray that all will be okay with you sweet Mudpie with no surgery required. Good fill-in answers too.
