My bloopers this month were taken while Mommy was trying to help me snap some selfies and I suddenly realized my face was dirty! Mommy calls them photo fails...I call it wanting to make sure I always look my best!

1. My favorite Christmas movie (or book) is The Muppet Christmas Carol (movie) and A Christmas Carol (book).

2. My favorite Christmas song is White Christmas (Conway's version), Old Toy Trains (Toby's version), If We Make It Through December by Merle Haggard, and If Every Day Was Like Christmas by Elvis.

3. Generosity is the best way to spread Christmas cheer.

4. Veterans Day is my favorite day of the holiday season. An unusual answer, but it's typically the date my tree goes up. The stores aren't crazy crowded yet and Christmas is still weeks away. By December I start to get depressed because before long my favorite time of year will be over.

Feline Friday: I Fell Down the Stairs!!!

Our December CatLadyBox arrived on Wednesday, and as soon as Mommy brought it in the door I started rubbing against it. Since I was so excited she opened it up right there. I immediately grabbed the toy that was sitting on top, and then hopped into the box before Mommy was able to empty out the rest of its contents. 

The box was teetering on the edge of the stairs but I didn't care. Look at my face...don't I appear to be saying, "Back off!"

Just seconds after Mommy snapped this last picture from the kitchen, guess what happened? Yep...I fell down the stairs!!! Slid right down 'em, landing in the back hall.

I sat there for a minute, stunned, CatLadyBox goodies scattered all around me. Mommy came running to make sure I was alright, then started laughing! (I have to admit, it was kinda fun!)

I think I need to hide under the bed until the new year!

Medical Update #SundaySelfie

Mommy said I should update our friends on my tushie trouble. Unfortunately, there isn't much to report. My anal glands are still impacted and I might require surgery to remove the impacted material, which is the last thing we want. Mommy has been in close contact with our vet all week, and she said as long as I'm not experiencing any pain we can wait and see how things progress. The vet is hoping I won't need surgery too.

The worst part of this whole ordeal is the atrocious antibiotic Mommy is shoving down my throat twice a day. I never thought Mommy would turn into a monster! She wraps me up in a kitty straight jacket bath towel, opens my mouth and squirts the foul liquid inside. At least I get a squeezie afterwards, which Mommy is lacing with fiber powder in hopes that might make things start moving along naturally. 

But really, I'm feeling fine. I'm eating and drinking good, pottying normal, being my normal lovebug self when Mommy isn't torturing me giving me my medicine

It's a good thing we're past Tocktober though, because my tushie is in no condition to be seen!

1. Watching more Christmas movies and specials, last minute shopping, and baking are on my to-do list this month.

2. If I hear What Are You Doing New Year's Eve one more time I will scream. I'm not a New Year's fan in the first place, and this song is just a reminder that Christmas is almost over.

3. All I want for Christmas is for Mudpie to not require surgery.

4. Peppermint is my favorite holiday scent.

Tushie Trouble #SundaySelfie

I snapped my selfie for the week on Friday afternoon while I was waiting to be violated at the V-E-T.

Before Mommy got up on Friday morning I did a messy poop (sorry if that's TMI). While eating breakfast she noticed I was a little stinky and scooting my bottom on the rug, and she figured maybe I had a dingleberry down there. Before she could take a look I went back to bed.

I came out for lunch in the early afternoon and my bottom still seemed to be bothering me, so she took a peek and found it to be all swollen like last year when I had my anal gland issue.

Thankfully (I guess) she was able to get me an appointment at the vet that very afternoon, but just like last year, I'm so impacted the vet couldn't get much of anything out. So we're left waiting for it to rupture on its own. Please send purrs that it pops sooner rather than later!

Who's going shopping today? As you're reading this, Mommy and I are most likely still snuggling in bed. Any Christmas shopping we do today will be online. As Mommy says, it's way too peopley out there!

Our photo fails this month were taken while Mommy was trying to help me take some selfies. There was a weird light on the wall, caused either by Mommy's watch or her phone, and it was very distracting!
