Selfies Gone Wrong & An Upcoming Surprise #PetPhotoFails

Meows from Mudpie!

Thank you for joining us for this month's edition of the Pet Photo Fails blog hop! The weather has been getting lots better the last couple weeks, and I'm spending more and more time sunning myself at the back door.

I'm excited too because my 10th Gotcha Day is coming up this summer, and Mommy says she's working on getting me a special gift that we can enjoy together. I wonder what she's planning? I'll fill you in when I know more!

It seems like the majority of my bloopers come while trying to take a selfie, and this month is no exception. I don't even know what the first picture is, but it was on Mommy's camera roll!

Those are my bloopers...let's see yours!

Mudpie, Financial Advisor

Mommy: Wha'cha doing, sweetie?

Mudpie: I noticed you left this life insurance/annuity paperwork on the floor. I was just checking it out.

Mommy: What do you know about finances?

Mudpie: Nothing. I was just looking to see if I'm listed as the primary beneficiary. A girl needs to plan for the future, you know, and I have a squeezie addiction to support.

Mommy: I hate to break this to ya, but those are your Grandpa's papers, not mine. And he had these drawn up long before you were born.

Mudpie: Maybe he could redo them so I'm the primary beneficiary?

Mommy: I'll ask him...

Easter Art & Selfies

And now our weekly answers for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and Four-Legged Furballs...

1. My plans for Easter (or Sunday) include having a rotisserie turkey for dinner because both Mudpie and Mo love it.

2. My favorite Easter treat is jelly beans.

3. Spinach is a healthy food I genuinely enjoy.

4. 35 is an age I wouldn't mind being permanently.

Mommy's Mother's Day Weekend Plans

Meows from Mudpie!

Mommy is super excited for Mother's Day weekend, and not just because she's the lucky mom of the world's most extraordinary tortie.

Check out what she signed up for...

Mommy is always saying she wants to foster one day, and her cat experience is 100% adult and senior cats - no experience at all with kittens - so this is right up her alley. She told me that she won't be held responsible if one of the little tots climbs into her tote bag.

Should I be worried???

******************************************

We also have an exciting update about the two stray cats that have been terrorizing our feral boy Mo for the past few months.

Our pawsome local rescue group Queen City Cats (who Mommy hopes to foster for in the future) was able to trap both of them on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning! They're both in the same foster home, and will be neutered and put up for adoption. Hopefully now Mo will be happier in a less stressful environment.

Feline Friday is simple to join. All you have to do is:

Post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (They may be silly or cute).

Just a Girl & Her Nip Nanner on #NationalBananaDay

 Meows from Mudpie!

This picture was taken recently...

This picture was taken the day I arrived here at my forever home!

And this one was taken the day I opened my very first Secret Paws package!

I'm a lifelong nip nanner lover.

And now our weekly answers for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and Four-Legged Furballs!

1. Once in a while, I manage to resist leaving TJ Maxx or HomeGoods empty-handed. Not very often though, especially during the holiday season!

2. The weirdest thing in my home is stacks and stacks and stacks of VHS tapes. They're taking up SO much space but I can't bear the thoughts of throwing them away. There's so many of them I don't know how I would dispose of them even if I wanted to. I wish I knew what to do with them.

3. I wish I had access to a squeezie recipe and machine so that I could make my own.

4. It's never too late to pursue your passions.

Mo Update #SundaySelfie

Meows from Mudpie!

Some of you have asked us about Mo, so we thought it was time to provide an update. The good news is, he's still with us, and actually doing quite well! Now that the weather has improved he's coming regularly again, eating a couple cans of Fancy Feast a night. He's putting weight back on.

One thing Mommy noticed while we were so worried about him is that he seemed to be having trouble peeing. We noticed him straining in the backyard. Naturally Mommy panicked because that's an especially dangerous situation for male cats. She got him some urinary tract support drops at the pet store to put in his food each day, and the straining has improved a lot.

He's never had any issues like this before, so we're thinking the stress from the new cats in our neighborhood might be the cause. One of our neighbors has contacted a local rescue group about trapping the newcomers to see if they're microchipped and neutered, and if not, if they might be adoptable. Hopefully this can help relieve some of Mo's stress.

We asked Mo on Friday night if he would like to take a selfie, and he obliged...as long as we did it through the door!

He gave us a cute blooper too. Mommy snapped a picture just as he finished eating and was washing his face. "That was lip smacking good!" he said.

Caturday Art

Visit more artsy kitties at Athena's Caturday Art blog hop!

And now our weekly answers for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and Four-Legged Furballs!

Mudpie's answers:

1. My April to-do list includes sunbathing and window whiffies. Hopefully!

2. I only eat Fancy Feast because Mommy buys it for Mo. I still can't say I really like it, but whatever I eat he doesn't get! (That's not very nice, is it?) BTW-we'll have an update on Mister Mo tomorrow!

Mommy's answers:

3. I'd like to swap jobs with a cat cafe owner for a day.

4. I can't go to the store without my reusable shopping bags. I gripe about not getting plastic bags to reuse for garbage, but I prefer using my reusable bags while shopping so I don't have to touch dirty shopping carts and baskets.

Unboxing March's CatLadyBox

The theme of March's CatLadyBox was Cattitude Cafe...here's what was inside!

Featured Cat Lady Artist: Karen Obuhanych

Is It Caturday Yet? Tee: Every day of the week should be given a cat name!

Cat Coffee Scoop: Ironically, just the night before our CatLadyBox arrived, I was looking online for coffee scoops. A cat-themed scoop never even crossed my mind! This is probably one of my favorite, most used item in any box.

Meow Coffee Mug: Big, bold, and adorable.

Kitty Keychain Pouch: Not sure how I'm going to use this yet, but the design is so fun - cats, coffee, and cupcakes are just a few of the things scattered about.

Eddie the Espurrresso Coffee Bean & Larry the Lemon Loaf Catnip Toys: These toys are just too cute for words. Confession time - I stole the coffee bean from Mudpie for my stuffie collection. Can anyone blame me??? It's a cat face espresso bean!!!
