Mo Update #SundaySelfie

Meows from Mudpie!

Some of you have asked us about Mo, so we thought it was time to provide an update. The good news is, he's still with us, and actually doing quite well! Now that the weather has improved he's coming regularly again, eating a couple cans of Fancy Feast a night. He's putting weight back on.

One thing Mommy noticed while we were so worried about him is that he seemed to be having trouble peeing. We noticed him straining in the backyard. Naturally Mommy panicked because that's an especially dangerous situation for male cats. She got him some urinary tract support drops at the pet store to put in his food each day, and the straining has improved a lot.

He's never had any issues like this before, so we're thinking the stress from the new cats in our neighborhood might be the cause. One of our neighbors has contacted a local rescue group about trapping the newcomers to see if they're microchipped and neutered, and if not, if they might be adoptable. Hopefully this can help relieve some of Mo's stress.

We asked Mo on Friday night if he would like to take a selfie, and he obliged...as long as we did it through the door!

He gave us a cute blooper too. Mommy snapped a picture just as he finished eating and was washing his face. "That was lip smacking good!" he said.

We're joining our friends at The Cat on My Head for the Sunday Selfies blog hop!

Mudpie, we know you and Mommy are relieved at Mo's improvement. Only because you two are kind enough all these years to feed Mo and Keep and eye out for him when things are not right. We are glad to hear of this good news, as cat lover Lynn does not take bad new very well.

What a handsome Man Cat Mo is! Our neighbourhood cat, Lucifer, is still (after 7 months) avoiding the Peeps (our Mom and Ms Mary) who have been trying to trap him to get him neutered. BUT he is doing well and loves the outside cat house Ms Mary up the street put out for him. We love Mo's faces and thank him for stopping for a selfie! Keep being awesome guys! Marvelous Marv

Mo is such a cutie. I am glad he is feeling better. I wish he could be rescued and live inside, but I know it is impossible with some cats.
